Google heatmap isn’t working for me, neither with 2 nor 3 columns dataset.
“Input string was not in a correct format.”
Can you send me a sample datafile? Maybe, some problems with the file encoding?

somehow I managed to produce the right dataformat.
I do not know what was wrong the first times, but now it seems quite simple.
The app works great, it’s exactly what I need.

Hi Mike,

Data formats for the standard heatmap are either “x,y” or “x,y,value” without the quotes. For the save location (I probably should have made this much more user friendly as I didn’t realize what to do myself right away ) Are you clicking the “…” button for save location and typing in a filename to save as?

I’ve got the same problems with the data as JW and endo.
I’ve tried several formats, but the “Save Location” field wont activate.

The two accepted formats for Google Maps is
No Spaces or quotes, comma delimited:
“lat,lng,value”
or
“lat,lng”

These are also the format for a Standard heatmap as well:
“x,y,value”
or
“x,y”

Hi Tim,

The third column of data shouldn’t be being ignored. How is your data file setup? The only two structures supported at the moments are:
lat,lng
lat,lng,value

Make sure to not have spaces Hope that helps let, me know if it does not and I can take a look at your data file! Thanks!

Is the 3rd column of data currently ignored, or am I doing something wrong?
I fed a data set captured during a drive earlier in the week into the Google Maps Heatmap creator, and it appears the “hotter” areas are the ones with more data points rather than the higher values in the 3rd column.

The result looks nice though (apart from it not representing the data I want it to).

Hey I really cannot get the data in for the heatmap/figure overlay. I tried putting the columns in txt filekinda like:

24,23
21,14
12,56
12,21

Is this right?

1. Trying to override colors doesn’t do anything. The text turns red but the full view and board view don’t reflect any change.

Hi zecks! The Color threshold slider is to help in situations when you get a color that cannot be matched, it doesn’t always help though, and manually editing the image may be required. The palette with the latest version is the only offical palette, however you can use the palette editor to add which ever colors you want

I cant seem to figure out what the color threshold bar does. However I figured out how to manually replace colors. But there isn’t a dark Grey. The palette to replace colors is missing many from colors from the perler website. Is there an updated palette?

Hi, your heatmap generator is useful, but could you add the option to increase the decay slider beyond 5? In my application I have few data points (20) but I want to map them onto a high resolution image, so I need the decay to be much higher. Do you think you could add this feature? I don’t mind if it takes my computer 10 minutes to process

the Imp in your app loses all of its shading and appears to only be 4 colors while perler pal keeps more color but uses a lot of black for darker browns.

If you get a different result let me know. Because I may not be doing something right.

By the way, What does the color threshold slider do?

I was wondering if there is an updated pallete file floating around. I am trying to create bead templates of some of the DOOM monsters from the 1993 game but the colors are coming out highly inaccurate and bland. Or am I just not doing something right?

Hiya Katie,

You can do this two different ways!
1. You can click the radio button at the bottom labeled “Bead Colored Image” after the image has been scanned. This will show you what the image will look like with bead colors instead of original coloring. You can also click the “Zoom Image” checkbox to enlarge it.
2. Once scanned you can also click the Diskette Icon on the top menu bar to save all the pegboard images out to windows. The best way to do this is to save them to an empty folder somewhere, navigate to that folder, select “Thumbnails” from the “View” menu in that folder, and then resize the window to to make the pictures arrange into the original image.

Hi,

I really like the idea of this program, but I was wondering if I’m doing something wrong. When I scan in a picture, I can choose which peg board to view, but I can’t see the whole thing all at once. Sometimes a picture doesn’t come out looking right, so I need to see the whole thing before deciding if it’s worth beading. Is there a way to look at the overall bead pattern on one screen, and not one board at a time?

When I try to download v0.91 The zip file says it is 0.91 but the program header still says 0.8. Is this not the right file zipped up or did you just forget to change the program header? By the way are you from Lodi?

The color chart link above gives you the rgb values for perler, hama, and nabbi (photopearls). You could actuall have every color on your program. If you do it, make it so you can choose perler, hama, nabbi, perler and hama, all 3, like it currently does.

If you can do that, you’ll have the most dominant bead program out there!!!

I love this software, but I was wondering if you plan to update it soon? Cause if so, I had some suggestions that I think would make it even better.

1. Update the palettes to include all the hama & perler colors (include neon & flor. colors)

2. When using the pegboard viewer, make it so that when you put the cursor over a color, it tells you what color it is.

Anyways, thanks for the great program!
